The Serbian village of Banatski Sokolac revealed their very own Bob Marley statue on Saturday, one meant "to promote tolerance in a region still recovering from war" according to Reuters. A number of Balkan bands helped unveil the monument at midnight.
"Bob Marley promoted peace and tolerance in his music," Mirko Miljus, one of the event's organizers, said in a statement.
Bosnians and Serbs have a reputation for paying tribute to Western pop icons, from Bruce Lee to Rocky Balboa.
